The company was officially launched on 1 July 2004 with the amalgamation of the ICT services of ENERGEX and Ergon Energy. SPARQ Solutions is jointly owned by ENERGEX and Ergon Energy.

With headquarters in Brisbane, and offices in Rockhampton, Townsville, Mackay, Maryborough, Cairns, Dalby and Toowoomba, SPARQ Solutions employs 500 staff and contractors who are highly skilled in a range of ICT business applications and support services.

SPARQ Solutions manages ICT operations for its clients of more than $60 million per annum and manages a program of project work of approximately $140 million per annum.
