ENERGEX - ENERGEX, a Queensland Government owned corporation, is the energy distributor to Southeast Queensland and northern New South Wales. With $5.6 billion in total assets and over 3,300 employees, ENERGEX distributes electricity to an area of 25,000 square kilometres, encompassing one million users. ENERGEX distributes electricity for retailers who on-sell this electricity to households, businesses and industry throughout Southeast Queensland.

Ergon Energy - Ergon Energy is the energy distributor to regional Queensland, and is also owned by the Queensland Government. Ergon has assets of $7 billion spread across 97% of Queensland or one million square kilometres, and employs a workforce of 4,700. Ergon Energy also operates as a retailer for most of the 600,000 customers in regional Queensland who remain on a Government-set tariff for the purchase of their electricity. Ergon Energy also distributes electricity for retailers who on-sell to mainly business customers throughout Queensland. Ergon Energy's network consists of one million poles and 150,000 kilometres of powerlines, as well as substations, transformers and power stations in isolated locations.
